I have to pick and choose my fights with Chad based on how much Def/HP he is built with. So I am perpetual 3rd seat and have run Tsuki/Jugram/Askin for the past few months and Chad can still destroy me with tank build. That just means for a lot of players, his high trans make him a more viable option. That doesn't make him a better unit than the likes of Ikkaku, Nnoit, etc. Ok so, why do you see Chad so much in PvP still? Well, he's a premium unit from 2018 and he's been featured in a ton of filler banners. And his Captain killer is only useful against Yama, and even then not for 10 seconds. Paralysis is nice but super RNG and should never be relied upon. His affiliation is only relevant compared to Ikkaku against Tokinada, OS Hime, CFYOW Grimm, Kirio, and MS Yoru, of which only Toki is seen with any amount of frequency. Of Chad's advantages, pretty much all of them are situational. So let's look at the differences between the two, because of the surface they're very similar units. Ok so since I'm still getting a metric fuckton of comments about Chad I'm making a sticky post: Chad is not better than Ikkaku.
